WunderUI vs shadcn/ui

shadcn/ui is the reference point for copy-the-code React components, and many teams start there. WunderUI is a different kind of product with a similar install habit. This page lists what each one is, using only what shadcn/ui states about itself, and where the other fits better. WunderUI is our product, so read it with that in mind.

Who should pick which

Pick shadcn/ui if

  • You want the most widely used starting point and the ecosystem around it, including third-party registries.
  • You are happy to build or assemble blocks, a Figma file and tokens yourself.
  • You want the freedom to pick Radix, Base UI or React Aria per project.

Pick WunderUI if

  • You want React components and a Figma library that match, so design and code start from the same tokens.
  • You want finished screens and templates as source, not only components.
